I did search this reddit, but the posts I found are several years old and I'm not sure if they are correct any more. Tl dr Can someone please help by letting me know how I am supposed to install firefox in crostini? I'm getting kinda frustrated at the moment, does it really need to be this hard to install a web browser? So I tried package names firefox-quantum and firefoxquantum with no luck. sudo apt install firefox sudo snap remove firefox sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mozillateam/ppa echo Pin: release oLP-PPA-mozillateam sudo tee /etc/. I also tried "sudo apt install firefox", which told me the package is not available. Then I ran "flatpak install firefox" as the mozilla site said, but it gave the error "error: No remote refs found similar to ‘firefox’". So I installed flatpak which seemed to work. Then I figured I would just install firefox directly from terminal.Ī bit of googling and I found that the mozilla site says that firefox can be installed on Chromebooks via flatpak. I tried "sudo apt-get update" with no luck and then "sudo apt-fix-missing update" which is apparently not a command.
